At the meetings, West Virginia University (WVU) faculty who hold the contract to write the risk-assessment report will present the following:
- 1. The tasks they have been assigned and the contract guiding the performance requirements.
- 2. The website available to the public, for viewing publicly accessible data.
- 3. Their request for any pertinent, objective data of additional measurements or documented exposures attributed to coal slurry injection. This is the fundamental reason for interested parties to attend.
To Attend a Meeting
If you plan to attend a meeting, please contact the investigators at coalslurry@mail.wvu.edu or call Terry Polce at (304) 293-2867 x5450 and let us know which meeting you plan to attend. This will ensure there is sufficient space to accommodate everyone.
You do not have to attend the meeting in order to send the investigators information. A similar request is being made to regional newspapers. Federal agencies state agencies, nonprofit organizations, and industry representatives are among those being contacted. Please refer to the information on this website to contact the investigators.
